Soseigawa Park was established as a place for people to interact and relax, connecting the east and west of the Soseigawa River. It is a park full of moisture from the water of the Soseigawa River and the greenery of the city center that continues from Odori Park, which have been loved by the residents from long ago.

Trees and Flowers
In the park, various trees and flowers are planted and can be enjoyed through the four seasons. In May, 200 lilacs consisting of 30 varieties bloom, and in July more than 20 types of daylilies color the park. In September, the red-violet and white bush clovers are beautiful.
Artwork
The park is dotted with 18 sculptures by three artists. In the “Mannaka Square” where it joins with Odori Park, there is a white circular bridge by Kozo Nishino called the “Snow Ring” that is installed over the Soseigawa River. It indicates the origin zero point of the north, south, east, and west of Sapporo.

Historical Monuments
A rest area based on the “Minami Ichijo Police Station”, which once existed here, is set up in the “Pioneer Square” centered on the Soseigawa Bridge of Minami Ichijo. This is also a place where you can see the history of Sapporo, such as the “Monument for the Establishment of Sapporo”, indicating that this area is the basis of the city of Sapporo, as well as the “Otomo Kametaro Statue”, a statue of the person responsible for Otomo-bori, which was what the Soseigawa River was once called.

Tanuki Nijo Square
On the river between Nijo Market and Tanukikoji Shopping Street, which represent Sapporo's “food”, there is the “Tanuki Nijo Square” that connects the east and west of the Soseigawa River. A variety of events are held here, such as the beer garden, creating a lively neighborhood.
